Sankhuwasabha
A Nepal Army team on Tuesday defused an explosive device that was recovered in a millet field in ward 6 of Madi municipality in Sankhuwasabha district. The army personnel from Bhairavi Dal Battalion in Khandbari defused the ‘hand grenade’.
According to Police Inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane, the explosive was recovered in the field belonging to Bhawani Prasad Dahal on Monday.
It is suspected that the explosive could be from the conflict-era.
Two children were killed and two others were injured when an explosive went off in Panchthar district in August last week.
