Fire destroyed three houses at Rambazaar in Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Dhankuta, on Friday night. 

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajbabu Maharjan, the fire broke out from Mohan Bhandari’s house and destroyed two other houses as well. 

The fire that started at around midnight was contained at around 8am on Saturday with the help of a fire engine.

 Preliminary police investigation shows that properties worth around Rs6.6 million were destroyed in the inferno.
