A health post, an under-construction building, and a house in ward 4 of Bhotekhola Rural Municipality were buried by landslides and floods following heavy rains on Friday and Saturday.
According to Wangchhedar Bhote, chairman of the rural municipality, two four-wheelers were also found buried on Sunday, and several other houses also sustained damage. Property and equipment of the health facilities worth millions of rupees were damaged.
Full details of the losses caused have yet to come, and rural municipal officials along with security personnel are working on relief and rescue operations, said Bhote.
