High schooler injured after being shot in Damak

A high school student was injured after being shot at by a 30-year-old man in Damak of Jhapa district.
According to police, Siraha-local Amit Kumar Sah allegedly shot and wounded an 18-year-old girl, who was returning to her rented room after giving her 12th-grade examination, at noon on Friday.
The victim sustained a bullet injury to her stomach. She is receiving treatment at the Lifeline Hospital in Damak.
Search for the accused, who fled the scene, is underway.
