Three held on quackery charges

Police have arrested three people in connection with the 11-year-old death of a patient at the Diktel-based Halesi Polyclinic.
According to Police Inspector Benu Karki, Jibananda Mehata of ward 3 of Gaghi Rural Municipality in Sunsari district and his two aides were held on quackery charges.
Chandrasen Rai of ward 3 of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality had died while receiving treatment from Mehata at the polyclinic in 2013.
“Investigation is underway regarding the fake medical certificate that Mehata acquired from China. Details will be revealed after investigation,” said Karki.
