Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality has allocated Rs1 million budget for the ‘agriculture ambulance’ programme in the current fiscal year of 2023-24.
Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality in Khotang district has started a free-of-cost ‘agriculture ambulance’ programme to take agricultural products to the market.
The local unit formally commenced the service on Sunday by transporting green vegetables produced by Soti Multipurpose Farmers’ Cooperatives in ward 13 of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi.
“We initiated the programme to encourage the farmers by managing markets for their products,” said deputy mayor Bisan Rai.
The municipality has allocated Rs1 million budget for the ‘agriculture ambulance’ programme in the current fiscal year of 2023-24.
