A woman was found dead in Phidim, Panchthar on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Indira Nepali, a resident of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality of Jhapa.

According to officials, the body was recovered from Phidim Municipality-4 at 7 am. Police suspect that the woman may have passed away upon falling from the road edge while walking along the road.

Information Officer of District Police Office Panchthar, Sumit Kushawaha, said that the body was taken to Panchthar Hospital for post-mortem.

Further investigation is going on regarding the incident, said Kushawaha.
