Man on the run after killing wife

Asafal Kurumbang, a resident of ward 4 of Tumbewa Rural Municipality, killed his wife and injured two with a khukuri over a family dispute on Thursday night.
According to Sumit Kushwaha, information officer of the District Police Office, the man and wife had gone to his in-laws’ house in Miklajung Rural Municipality to resolve some family issues, and in a fit of rage, he killed his wife, and injured his mother-in-law and her relative.
The injured are being treated at B & C Hospital, Jhapa.
The man fled the scene after the incident. Efforts are being made to search the man by issuing a BOLO (Be On the Lookout), said Kusuwaha.
