12 stranded due to floods, landslides rescued in Panchthar
A Nepal Army chopper relocates villagers to a safer location.

A total of 12 people stranded due to floods and landslides in Panchthar district have been rescued on Monday.
The locals of Phendi village in ward 1 of Yangwarak Rural Municipality were rescued through a Nepal Army chopper, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Khatiwada, who is also the Panchthar police chief, said the villagers have been relocated to Chyangthapu.
Meanwhile, Alisha Gurung of Hilihang Rural Municipality-7, who went missing after being swept away by the Hewa river on Saturday, has been found dead.
Her body was recovered from the Tamor riverbanks in Dhankuta.
A total of three people have died due to landslides and floods in the district this monsoon so far while three others are still missing.
