Nepali Communist Party’s Dhan Bahadur Budha wins Dolpa
Secures fourth consecutive victory, defeating UML’s Lanka Bahadur Rokaya by 1,406 votes.Post Report
Dhan Bahadur Budha of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has won the House of Representatives seat from Dolpa.
Budha secured 6,802 votes in the constituency, defeating CPN-UML candidate Lanka Bahadur Rokaya, who received 5,396 votes. The margin of victory was 1,406 votes.
Nepali Congress candidate Karna Bahadur Budha finished third with 2,947 votes.
Among other candidates, Dev Singh Aidi of the Rastriya Swatantra Party received 181 votes, Hari Prasad Dangi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 92 votes, and independent candidate Omendra Bahadur KC secured 54 votes.
Bikash Budha of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party received 21 votes, Dil Bahadur Bista of the Ujyalo Nepal Party got 11 votes, and Junu Bhandari of the Miteri Party Nepal received 2 votes.
With the win, Budha has been elected from Dolpa for a fourth consecutive term. The chief returning officer’s office said the formal declaration of the result is yet to be made.
