Four former prime ministers share stage with former President Bhandari

Four former prime ministers and former President Bidya Devi Bhandari shared the stage at a programme in Kathmandu on Sunday to mark the 75th birth anniversary of the late communist leader Madan Bhandari.
The event, organised by the Madan Bhandari Foundation at the Bhrikutimandap-based City Hall, featured a symposium on “Nepal’s Communist Movement and People’s Leader Madan Bhandari” alongside the presentation of the Madan Bhandari National Award.
Former prime ministers K P Sharma Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal attended the programme.
During the event, Bhandari, who chairs the Madan Bhandari Foundation, presented the Madan Bhandari National Award to author Ramesh Ruchhen Rai for his book on Madan Bhandari’s life and contributions. The award carries a cash prize of Rs200,000.
