Oli undergoes successful gallstone surgery

CPN-UML chair KP Sharma Oli has undergone a successful gallstone surgery. He is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) following the procedure, UML central committee member Niru Pal said.
According to Oli’s secretariat, a 22 mm stone was removed. Oli was arrested on March 28 over allegations that he was responsible for human casualties during the Gen Z movement while serving as prime minister.
He was admitted to Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital shortly after complaining of abdominal pain and increased heart rate. He had been staying at the hospital for medical observation. He underwent treatment for the kidney stone after his release on April 9.
