In the House of Representatives election, Nischal Rai of the Nepali Congress has been elected from Ilam-1.
Rai defeated Vinod Nembang Limbu of the Shram Sanskriti Party by 911 votes, securing 14,543 votes compared to Limbu’s 13,632 votes.
In third place, Kajiman Kagate of the CPN-UML received 11,966 votes, while Bimal Gadal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party secured 9,160 votes, according to the Election Commission.
