Aaren Rai of the Shram Sanskriti Party has won the Khotang seat in the House of Representatives election 2026, giving the party its first parliamentary victory. Rai secured 16,612 votes.
Dev Bikram Rai of CPN-UML received 12,714 votes, Birakaji Rai of Nepali Congress got 11,957 votes, and Hari Roka of the Nepali Communist Party tallied 9,443 votes. Rudra Giri of the Rastriya Swatantra Party received 5,704 votes.
