Fire destroys shack in Nagarjun Municipality
The blaze causes damage worth around Rs1.5 million.

A fire broke out at a shack in ward 7 of Nagarjun Municipality in Kathmandu on Saturday night.
The fire destroyed the shanty where the family of Krishna Hari Shrestha had been living. However, there were no human casualties, according to Superintendent of Police Apil Bohara, the information officer of the Kathmandu Police Range.
He said the fire started around 9:40pm and was controlled an hour later.
According to the police, the fire caused damage to wooden furniture, drawers, sofas, beds, clothes, utensils, carpets, and other household items, including kitchenware. Preliminary estimates suggest that the fire caused damage worth approximately Rs1.5 million.
The fire was extinguished with the efforts of the Nepal Police and local authorities, who used fire engines and water tankers. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the police said they are further investigating.
