A bomb threat targeting a Vistara aircraft was declared a hoax after the Nepal Army’s bomb disposal unit found no explosives, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) said.
The Vistara flight, which landed in Kathmandu at 4:30pm on Tuesday, underwent a thorough search, but no threats were discovered. CAAN Information Officer Gyanendra Bhul said the inspection began at 4:30pm and concluded at 7pm.
The aircraft is now cleared and preparing for its return flight to New Delhi with passengers, said Bhul.
The bomb threat was received shortly after the plane landed at Tribhuvan International Airport, leading authorities to isolate the aircraft for a full security check.
