Jajarkot
A couple went missing after a landslide swept away their house in Jajarkot early Sunday morning, leaving their daughter seriously injured. The incident occurred around 2 am in ward 6 of Barekot Rural Municipality.
Dal Bahadur Singh, vice-chairperson of the Jajarkot District Coordination Committee, said the victims—Man Bahadur Chalune and his wife Prem Kumari, who is also a ward member—were buried under the debris. Their daughter was rescued with severe injuries, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Purushottam Pandey, chief of the Jajarkot District Police Office, said police teams have been dispatched from Sepukhola, Nayakwada, and Ramidanda to the site, but poor communication has hampered the gathering of further details.
