India, US, UK and Pakistan congratulate Prime Minister Oli

Various countries, including India, the USA, the UK, and Pakistan on Monday congratulated Minister KP Sharma Oli on his appointment.
They said they are looking forward to working together to strengthen ties between the two countries.
Taking to X, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he is looking forward to working closely to further strengthen the deep bonds of friendship.
“Congratulations on your appointment as the prime minister of Nepal. Look forward to working closely to further strengthen the deep bonds of friendship between our two countries and to further expand our mutually beneficial cooperation for the progress and prosperity of our peoples,” Modi said in a post.
Likewise, the US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson also congratulated the prime minister.
“We look forward to working with the new government of Nepal to further strengthen our 77-year partnership, said Thompson in a post on X.
Similarly, the British Embassy in Kathmandu congratulated and extended best wishes to the prime minister.
“We look forward to further strengthening our longstanding UK-Nepal relationship in the coming days,” it said in a post on X.
Likewise, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Oli on taking oath as the prime minister of Nepal for the fourth time.
“I wish him every success and look forward to working with him to further strengthen bilateral ties & promote regional cooperation between our two nations,” said Sharif.
President Ramchandra Paudel on Sunday appointed CPN-UML Chairman Oli as the prime minister of Nepal. He, along with his 21 Cabinet ministers, took an oath of office and secrecy on Monday.
This is Oli’s fourth stint as the country’s chief executive.
First appointed the prime minister in October 2015 (until August 2016), Oli was head of the government from February 2018 to May 2021 and from May 2021 to July 2021.
