Suresh Adhikari appointed House of Representatives secretary
The former government secretary to assume new role.Post Report
President Ramchandra Paudel on Tuesday appointed Suresh Adhikari as the Secretary of the House of Representatives.
“President Paudel has appointed Khandbari Municipality-2 resident Suresh Adhikari as the Secretary of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament, following the recommendation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives in accordance with Article 106 (1) of the constitution of Nepal,” the Office of President said in a statement.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Monday recommended the former government secretary for the position.
Speaker Ghimire recommended Adhikari’s name to President Paudel for appointment as per Article 106 of the constitution and Section 3 of the Act on Remuneration, Conditions of Service and Facilities of General Secretary of Federal Parliament and Secretaries of House of Representatives and National Assembly.
Adhikari, who hails from Khandbari Municipality-2 of Sankhuwasabha district, retired from his post of government secretary a few months ago.
The position became vacant after Padma Prasad Pandey, then secretary, was appointed general secretary of the Federal Parliament on February 6.
