A man died while four of his family members were taken ill after consuming wild mushrooms in ward 7 of Raksirang Rural Municipality of Makawanpur district on Sunday. 

According to Singha Bahadur Chepang, a resident from the same ward, 55-year-old Dal Bahadur Chepang died while being rushed to Chitwan for treatment. Dal Bahadur’s wife and three children fell ill and are receiving treatment at a hospital. 

The Chepang family consumed mushroom curry on Saturday evening that they had collected from a nearby forest.
