Man dies after being swept away by river in Jhapa

A man died on Thursday after being swept away by the flooded Ratuwa River in Jhapa district. The deceased is 53-year-old Mohan Ramdam of Damak Municipality-1 in Jhapa. Locals spotted his body near the Ratuwa Bridge in Damak-7 and informed the police.
Meanwhile, floods have waterlogged ten houses in Shivasatakshi Municipality-10. According to the police, three families have been displaced after the flooded Kankai River entered the human settlement.
