Parliament’s winter session recommended for February 5

The government on Tuesday recommended the President to summon the winter session of the federal parliament on February 5.
A Cabinet meeting decided to recommend President Ramchandra Paudel to call the meeting of both houses of the federal parliament at 4pm on February 5.
As per the constitution, the President summons and prorogues the House sessions at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
The government is preparing to take ahead crucial bills including an amendment bill on the Enforced Disappearances Enquiry, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act and School Education Bill through the upcoming session.
The budget session of the parliament was prorogued on July 3.
