Police searching for people missing in Darchula avalanche

On Friday morning, a joint team of the Armed Police Force and Nepal Police was dispatched to search for two people who are still missing after Tuesday’s avalanche in Byas Rural Municipality in the district.
The bodies of three out of the five people who were buried in an avalanche were found some 600 metres from the incident site on Wednesday.
According to DSP Tarkaraj Pandey of the district police office, the bodies of the deceased were sent to the district hospital for a postmortem on Friday.
Around 25 police personnel have been sent for the search and rescue operation, said police.
