Newly-elected lower house members Rabi Lamichhane and Swarnim Wagle have taken the oath of office and secrecy.
Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire administered the oath to the lawmakers at the Federal Parliament Office in Singha Durbar on Friday.
Janata Samajbadi Party chair Upendra Yadav, who was elected from Bara-2, could not be administered the oath as he is yet to arrive in the capital.
Rastriya Swatantra Party chair Lamichhane was elected to the lower house from Chitwan-2 for the second time, since the November elections, with an astounding 54,176 votes.
Previously, Lamichhane had defeated Umesh Shrestha of Congress by a margin of 34,170 votes.
Similarly, Wagle, also RSP leader, was elected as a member of the lower house from Tanahun-1, garnering 34,480 votes.
By-elections were held in Tanahun-1, Chitwan-2 and Bara-2 after the house seats had become vacant. Tanahun-1 and Bara-2 seats had become vacant after constituency representatives Ramchandra Paudel and Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav were elected President and Vice-President respectively.
Likewise, Chitwan-2 had become vacant after the Supreme Court invalidated the lawmaker status of Lamichhane, stating that the citizenship certificate he had submitted to contest the November polls was invalid.
Lamichhane has since reacquired his citizenship.
