US Under Secretary Nuland holds talks with Deuba, Oli
The senior foreign dignitary arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day official visit on Sunday evening.

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland called on Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Monday.
Congress President Deuba and Under Secretary Nuland discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relationship and cooperation in democracy, development and good governance during a courtesy call at the former’s residence in Dhumbarahi.
“Had a wonderful meeting with US Under Secretary. We discussed ways to further strengthen our bilateral relationship and cooperation in democracy, development and good governance. I thanked her for the continued support of the US to Nepal, which is highly valued,” Deuba said in a tweet.
Under Secretary Nuland also called on UML Chairman Oli and discussed various facets of Nepal-US bilateral ties.
Earlier today, Nuland met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and discussed various matters related to bilateral cooperation and other issues of mutual interests.
Nuland, who arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday evening on a two-day official visit, will also meet Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal at an official level.
Nuland is the senior-most US official to come to Kathmandu after the visit of US Under Secretary for Civilian Security-Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya last May. Nuland has the experience of working with three American presidents, Joe Biden, Barack Obama and George W Bush.
