A total of eight shops were reduced to ashes in a fire at Damak Municipality-6 of Jhapa district in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
The fire that broke out at a shoe shop at around 3:20am due to an electrical short circuit spread to nearby shops, according to Damak Area Police Office.
The fire was brought under control at 6am. Police said they are collecting the details of the damage caused by the fire.
