A Secretariat meeting of the CPN-UML slated for Friday to finalise names of candidates to be elected through the proportional representation category has been postponed.
Bishnu Rijal, deputy chief of the party’s publicity department, confirmed that the meeting has been postponed, adding that it is yet to be decided when and where the next meeting will be held.
UML has prepared a preliminary proposal on who will be will be sent from which group out of 19 women and 15 men to be elected by proportional representation to the House of Representatives.
The meeting was also expected to select lawmakers from the proportional category for the seven provinces as well.
