Chinese Foreign Minister Wang calls on President Bhandari
Discussions held on various aspects of Nepal-China ties and bilateral cooperation.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is on a three-day visit to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday morning.
During the meeting, according to officials at the President’s Office, various aspects of bilateral ties and cooperation were discussed.
“It was a courtesy meeting,” said Tika Dhakal, a communication expert of President Bhandari. “Foreign Minister Wang Yi apprised the President of the agreements signed between Nepal and China.”
According to Dhakal, President Bhandari conveyed to the Chinese minister that Nepal attaches great importance to Nepal-China ties and thanked the Chinese government for its support to Nepal.
“Through the Chinese foreign minister, President Bhandari has sent a message to Chinese President Xi Jinping that our country and Nepali people are thankful for the continuous support of China,” Dhakal told the Post.
Wang arrived in Kathmandu on Friday in a first high-level visit from China since Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba assumed office in July last year.
Nepali and Chinese delegations on Saturday signed as many as nine agreements on various areas of cooperation including feasibility study of the cross-border railway.
