A meeting of the Direction and Coordination Committee to Monitor Co-ordinate and Direct on Employees Adjustment Process on Sunday took the decision, officials at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration said.
The committee led by the Federal Affairs Minister Lal Babu Pandit decided to issue another 15-day notice for the employees of the District Coordination Committees (DCCs) who were recruited by the erstwhile District Development Committees (DDCs).
Around 90,000 civil servants will be adjusted in three tiers of the government once the notice is issued. Likewise, around 1,000 employees recruited by the erstwhile DDCs will be adjusted in the DCCs.
“We plan to issue these notices within a week,” said Kedar Prasad Paneru, joint secretary at the Federal Affairs Ministry. The government has already started adjusting the permanent employees recruited by the erstwhile Municipalities and Village Development Committees whose number is around 10,000, according to the revised figure.
The meeting also decided to authorise the District Coordination Officers to issue letter of adjustment to the staffs recruited by the erstwhile DDCs once they apply for adjustment.
The Federal Affairs Ministry last Tuesday instructed the chief administrative officers at local units to give a letter of adjustment to the locally recruited staff within 10 days.
“We have received formal information about the completion of staff adjustment of locally recruited staffs in Jiri Municipality, Dolakha and Letang Municipality, Morang by Sunday,” said Paneru.
In order to adjust federal civil servants in three tiers of the government, the government will receive applications from them online at the website named—www.samayojan.gov.np
“We are conducting a test of this website on Monday to check if there is any fault in it,” said Paneru. In order to apply for staff adjustment, the government employees will have to log into this website. They will have to fill the date of birth, first appointment date in the civil service and symbol given by the Department of Civil Personnel Records. After filling the information, the applicant will get a verification code on his/her designated mobile number. After entering the verification code, they can fill the necessary information for staff adjustment process.
The committee meeting also decided to inform the ministries to recommend suitable posts where posts like computer operator, sociologist and statistician could be adjusted, within a week.
The ordinance has not recognised these posts and staffs should be adjusted in other suitable posts.
According Paneru, the meeting also decided to issue notice in the social media, explaining the way to fill information for staff adjustment process.
Another decision taken by the committee is to create pool seats under the federal government. The employees in the pools will be mobilized in specific projects that have specific jobs to complete such as National Reconstruction Authority, said Paneru.
