One person died and five others have gone missing when a boat capsized at Begnas Lake in Kaski district on Saturday.

There were nine persons on board the ill-fated boat when the incident occurred this afternoon. The identifications of the deceased and missing have not been known but two women and three children are among the missing.

Though four people survived the accident by swimming ashore, five are still missing, DSP Rabindra Gurung of the District Police Office, Kaski, said.
