Bishwakarma handcuffed for breaking the law: Home Minister

Former Minister in Jhala Nath Khanal-led Cabinet, Bishwakarma, alias Prakanda, was arrested from Chalnakhel in the Capital on Tuesday on the charge of extortion.
Minister Thapa said so while responding to the queries by journalists regarding the arrest of Bishwakarma, the Home Minister’s colleague from his former party led by Mohan Baidya.
During a press meet held at Bharatpur Airport on Friday, Minister Thapa said that Bishwakarma was arrested on the charge of criminal activities and clarified that he was arrested in course of controlling the criminal activities.
“I am the Home Minister and the arrestee is a person accused of breaking the law,” said Minister Thapa, “It is obvious for the accused to be handcuffed.”
Likewise, Minister Thapa also said that it was his responsibility to control the crime regardless of the person involved in crime.
Home Minister Thapa also said that government invites all groups for talks to resolve any kind political issues.
“We are open for talks but we will move ahead with administrative action as well,” said Thapa, “Anyone violating the law will be arrested and action will be taken against them."
Meanwhile, Minister Thapa refuted the rumors that police had committed fake encounter in Kadaghari child abduction case.
