Police arrested a woman from Khaniyabas-4, Dhading, in connection to the death of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Bir Bahadur Gurung on Sunday.
Tara Thapa Magar was detained for her allegedly murdering ASI Gurung. Police is also after Tara’s husband, Shantalal Tamang, who is at large.
ASI Gurung, who hailed from Gorkha district, was found dead in a maize field near Darkha Area Police Office on Friday morning.
Superintendent of Police Sharad Kumar Khatri said that the suspects had reportedly called ASI Gurung to the field on Thursday night and murdered him.
ASI Gurung had left the office at night following a telephone conversation with a caller, whose identity police are withholding.
