A 16-year-old boy was murdered at Nijgadh-5 in the district on Friday evening.
Nishanta Sapkota of Gairitol was found murdered with his throat slit at his neighbour's house, said police. According to Sub-Inspector Kailash Kumar KC at the Area Police Office in Nijgadh, Sapkota, the ninth grader at a local school, was found murdered in the house of Dipak Thapa.
Security personnel seized a Chulesi (a sharp-edge kitchen tool) from the incident site. Thapa, his wife and two children were taken under control for investigation.
The body was taken to Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-regional Hospital for postmortem.
