A passenger bus fell into the Rudi stream when a truss bridge collapsed, killing two persons and leaving 32 others injured. Condition of 10 injured persons is said to be serious.
The ill-fated bus (Na 5 Kha 6395) en route from Pokhara to Ram Bazaar in Lamjung fell into the stream at around 1pm.
The bridge connects Madhya-Nepal Municipality of Lamjung and Madi Rural Municipality of Kaski.
According to the passengers and people involved in rescue, the flooded stream had weakened the foundation of the temporary truss bridge constructed by Rudikhola Hydropower Project to ferry its goods.
