At least three people have been reported injured after a landslide triggered by incessant rain fell into a house at Bangabagad in Mahakali Municipality-4 on early Thursday morning.

According to the police, a huge rock from the landslide struck the mid-section of the house injuring Harak Singh Mahata of Murai, Murma Rural Municipality, Kashi Datta Bhatta of Dhari, Duhu Rural Municipality-4 and Gorai Dhami of Dhampanera, Mahakali municipality-1.

The injured are receiving medical treatment at Darchula-based District Hospital, informed Police Inspector Lal Bahadur Saud.

Of the injured Bhatta sustained injuries to his face and is reported to be in serious condition.

The injured trio was rescued only after one and a half hour as the landslide debris had completely covered the damaged section.
