A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a truck at Padasari along the Siddhartha Highway in Bhairawaha on Wednesday.
According to Rupandehi District Traffic Police Office, motorcyclist Chandra Bahadur Kunwar of Tilottama Municipality-5 was killed in the incident when the motorcycle, Lu 18 Pa 2678, he was travelling in was hit from behind by a truck, Lu 1 Kha 5026, en route to Bhairawaha from Butwal at around 10 am this morning.
Kunwar, who was working as a school inspector at the District Education Office, breathed his last while undergoing treatment, informed police.
Meanwhile, truck driver Sundar Bahadur Saaru has been arrested following the incident.
