Police have confiscated five loaded guns from a forest area at Rajapur rural municipality-7 in the district.
The seized guns were thrown away by a group of seven unidentified persons while fleeing towards the forest from police arrest, police said. However, the persons escaped, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhuwaneshwor Tiwari.
A police patrol team led by assistant sub inspector Nar Bahadur Khadka from police beat, Changwa confiscated the guns and other materials like two plastic boxes containing gunpowder, seven match boxes and 38 shots among others, he said, adding that investigations were on and a search has been launched for the absconders.
