Bhojpur
Locals organised a six-hour vehicular strike at Pyuali Bazaar in Arun Rural Municipality on Saturday, demanding an investigation into the ‘mysterious death’ of three children in Arun Rural Municipality-3 of Bhojpur. Around 700 people participated in a protest rally, said Raj Kumar Khatri, a local. Three children—Ranjib Sapkota, 14; Sushma Phuyal, 13, and Pradeep Phuyal, 8—of two neighbouring houses were found dead in a pond in Arun-1, Bhojpur on June 26. Police found the children, who went missing for two days, drowned in the fish pond owned by Toran Karki, a local. Sushma and Pradeep were the members of a single family.
