Traffic along Munglin-Narayanghat road section has been halted from Saturday afternoon after landslide in between Kalikhola and Chepang Danda of Chitwan.
The road project engineer Shiva Khanal said the landslide has obstructed some 20 meters of the road section. "It will take 5 hours to remove the debris if the weather is right. Since removing debris at night is dangerous, resuming traffic along the road section today is unlikely," said Khanal.
Officials have not been able to clear the road as debris has been continuously falling from the above.
Khanal said some vehicles stranded along the road have been sent to safer places while others are still there.
Traffic along the road section had resumed only this morning.
