Multiple landslides triggered by incessant rainfall at different locations have blocked transportation along the Ramche stretch of the Pasang Lhamu highway on Friday.
The passenger buses as well as hundreds of containers with supplies from China have been stranded.
Road Division Office Chief Rohit Bisural informed that landslides have struck 700 metres of the road stretch from Purano Sena Post of Kalika rural municipality – 1 to Temrang River adding that efforts are underway to clear the landslide debris by this afternoon.
Armed Police Force (APF) border security force Inspector Prem Singh Dhami informed that security personnel from APF, Nepal Police, Nepal Army along with a dozer from Rasuwagadi Hydropower are working to clear the debris.
