A youth has gone missing in Trishuli River while illegally extracting sand from the river.
Raju Lama, 16, of Hariharpur, Sindhuli, was swept away by the river currents at Ratomate in Belkotgadi Municipality, Nuwakot, on Tuesday.
DSP Jintendra Basnet said police have begun searching for him.
Illegal crusher industries in the area use heavy equipments during night time while employ workers during day time to extract sand from the river.
