Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police have arrested two persons convicted in a murder case after 23 years in hiding from Balaju of Kathmandu on Thursday evening.
The convicts have been identified as Sachindra Yadav, 46, and Kari Yadav, 46, of Saptari. Both of them are currently residing at Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.
According to a preliminary investigation, the duo had killed Jogendra Mandal by attacking him with a sharp weapon over a minor dispute, while he was returning home after watching a cultural show at Pakari Chok, Saptari, on March 4, 1995.
Mandal’s body was found at the same place, a day after the incident.
The Kathmandu District Court has sent both of them to the Sundhara-based Central Jail to serve the term.
