RJP-N submits necessary documents to register with EC

Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur, along with other leaders, reached the EC this afternoon to submit the necessary documents required to register the party at the election body.
This is the second time in a week the RJP-N leaders reached the EC for the official registration of the party. The party was formed after the merger of six Madhes-based parties on April 21.
The leaders submitted the party’s statute, manifesto, central committee decision of the newly formed party to the EC.
According to RJP-N leader Anil Jha, they have submitted the documents sought by the EC for the registration of the party today.
The EC had sought six different types of documents from the RJP-N including the central committee decisions of the constituent parties before their merger.
During a meeting held with the RJP-N leaders, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Ayodhe Prasad Yadav said that the process would be moved ahead to register the party after studying the submitted documents.
815-member central committee
The RJP-N has submitted the names of 815-member central committee to the EC.
Central members and office bearers of Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party, Sadbhawana Party, Tarai-Madhes Sadbhawana Party, National Madhes Samajbadi Party, Nepal Sadbhawana Party and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum Ganatantrik are holding the same position in the united party.
It has been learnt that the number of RJP-N office bearers has reached 134.
According to the law, the RJP-N would be able to contest the third phase of local level elections slated for September 18 if the party is registered within mid-July.
