Nepal defeated Bangladesh 1-0 in the U-23 friendly football match played at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur, on Tuesday.

The All Nepal Football Association had hosted Bangladesh as a part of preparation for the AFC U-23 Championship 2018 qualifiers.

Nepal will take on UAE, Uzbekistan and Lebanon in the AFC U-23 Championship from July 15 to 18 in UAE.

Similarly, Bagladesh will play against Jordan, Tajikistan and Palestine.

Bimal Gharti Magar, Ananta Tamang, Heman Gurung, Hemanta Thapa Magar, Alan Neupane, Kamal Shrestha, Dinesh Rajbansi, Anjan Bista and Sunil Bista are the main players of the Nepali team.

Nepal U-23 comprising three senior players had earned gold medal in the 12th South Asian Games for the first time in 23 years last year.
