Unidentified group has abducted CPN (Maoist Center) Manahari Village Council-1 ward chairman candidate Ram Kumar Uprety on Saturday.
The party said Uprety, of Manahari Village Council-1 in Handikhola, was kidnapped while he came out of his house for a stroll. The party has demanded an immediate release of its kidnapped comrade.
Police suspected the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist cadres might have abducted Uprety.
