Former Finance Secretary and leader of Baburam Bhattarai-led Naya Shakti Party Rameshwor Khanal has announced his exit from the party.
In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Naya Shakti Party’s financial department chief Khanal wrote he is no longer affiliated with any political party. “I am not involved with any political party, seems politics is not my cup of tea. What should I say?” he tweeted.
Talking to media, Khanal said he abandoned the party because he failed to make reforms in the party. Khanal added that he could not continue his political career on account of his physical health and integrity.
The former Finance Secretary was a founding member of the Naya Shakti Party.
