Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that there are challenges in holding the three-tier election. He pointed out necessity to induct demands of agitating sides by amending the constitution as it is necessary to garner consensus from all sides for holding successful elections.
Addressing an assembly at Kalpabrikshya VDC on Thursday, PM Dahal said that there was no alternative to unity among all sides to march the country towards prosperity.
"The government is committed to addressing Madhes-issue," he said, "Our target is to take our country towards prosperity which is only possible after resolving the problems faced by Tharu, Janajati, among other communities."
Saying that the government has given topmost priority to big development projects, PM Dahal said state would not exempt sluggish worker and contractors guilty of missing the deadline.
At a time when Rs 150 billion is lying unspent in state coffers, PM Dahal revealed that his government would soon bring supplementary budget after consulting with opposition for expediting construction of large development projects.
PM Dahal was here in the district to lay foundation stones for construction of a concrete bridge at Marinkhola connecting Kalpabrikshya to Kapilakot in the district. With construction of this 400 metre long concrete bridge, the locals will be able to commute to Tarai districts easily even during rainy season. The bridge that will be completed in three years will cost Rs435 million, it is learnt.
The PM also announced to award the construction company, technical team and other staffs if the construction completes in time.
During his visit, PM Dahal also observed the construction site of agriculture campus in the VDC. Schools were shut today as teachers and students marked their presence to listen PM's speech.
