The two-story pagoda temple is located in a small island on the south east section of Phewa Lake. It is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in the country having panoramic scene. The Only way of reaching the temple is by boats which has also attracted the visitors. The visitors can enjoy the crystal clear water of Phewa Lake while reaching the temple.
Barahi (goddess durga) is worshiped by Hindu and Buddhist as well.
People from different parts of the neighbouring districts throng the temple especially today, the full moon day (Kojagrat Purnima). An annual fare is organized here on the same day today.
