Two held for snow leopard poaching

Darchula police on Sunday made public two people who were arrested earlier on the charge of wildlife poaching.
The accused are Janak Bahadur Shahi, 39, of Jubidha-8, Kalikot and Kalamram Parki, 30, of Sunsera-2, Darchula.
They were detained for their involvement in the illegal killing of snow leopard, put in the list of threatened wildlife species.
Acting on the statement given by the two, police discovered snow leopard hide measuring 6 ft 5 inch long and bone weighing around five kilogrammes from a cave in the forest of Rapla.
Police are further investigating the case. The accused have confessed to the crime. RSS
