Karna Bahadur Dangi of Kotgaun in the district, who was seriously injured in the April 25 earthquake, has been undergoing treatment in Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for the past three months.
He underwent leg surgery for nine times. However, his condition is yet to improve.
Initially he was taken to a Nepalgunj-based hospital to cure his fractured leg. Then, he was taken to Rolpa Hospital. Doctors in the hospital referred him to Kathmandu. “I think my treatment was not done properly,” he said.
“The wound does not heal fast,” Karna said, adding that he has already spent around Rs 250,000 for the treatment. He said he has been spending from his pocket as he is yet to receive any aid from the government for his treatment.
Karna said he was working as a volunteer in Rolpa Red Cross before the earthquake. “However, they have not shown any concerns after I was injured,” he said.
